TB: What makes a great (told-aloud) story?
PS: The two most important ingredients are a teller that expresses their vulnerability, presence, authenticity, humor and confidence (even while being nervous) and a well thought out, crafted story with a point that relates somehow to the theme of the show.
Thanks to writer, storyteller, and yoga teacher Kirsten Voris for introducing me to Tyler Barton, co-founder of Fear No Lit. The excellent and informative website hosts a number of series including Learning How to Reading, interviews with lit events hosts. I tried to explain to him we are not about reading and that made him even more interested in what Odyssey Storytelling does. You can read the interview here.
